Kuala Lumpur: Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant, Menara

It is hard to ignore the 421-meter Kuala Lumpur Tower in the middle of KL even with the taller Petronas Towers nearby. Aside from offering a 360-degree view of Kuala Lumpur on its observation deck, it is also home to the Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant that offers diners a fantastic view of the city while enjoying the buffet.

The Buffet
The buffet offers a selection of local, Chinese, Indian and Western food. There are 3 buffet stations spread throughout the restaurant: Appetizer area, Main Course area, and the dessert bar.

The Appetizers Area. Stock full of different kinds of breads, spreads and cheese, a salad bar, soup, and fresh salmon sashimi.

The Main Course. All of the dishes tasted great, especially the Lamb and Roast Beef. Downside: the number of dishes offered is less than what I expected. (There were only roughly 15 dishes to choose from.)

The Dessert Bar. The best part of the whole dining experience (other than the view). The coffee & tea were good and the cakes & pastries were yummy. They also served unusual ice cream flavors like Sweet Corn and Sweet Potato.

The View. Awesome.

  1. my friend was told to wear a sarong….he did have what we both thought was “smart casual attire”..mid length trousers and a decent shirt top….my friend is a devoted Muslim from Indonesia…he knows how to dress conservatively….he refused to wear a Sarong at this restaurant…..we will not be back to this restaurant…far cheaper to just go to the observation deck and leave the eating to all those great places in the mian Kl city centre…
