Cebu: Basilica Minore del Santo Niño

Located a stone’s throw away from the Magellan’s Cross is the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.

According to historians, the church was built on the spot where they found a sculpture of the Sto. Niño that was left behind by the Magellan expedition. That image of the Sto. Niño is said to be the oldest religious relic in the Philippines.

The Church also has a Museum located at the basement of the adjacent Pilgrim’s Center which is open from Tuesday to Sunday 8:00 AM – 11:45 AM and 1:30 PM – 4:45 PM.

How to get there:
Check the commuting instructions at the Magellan’s Cross entry.
