One rainy afternoon, we found a warm and homey restaurant called GrandMomma’s Kitchen at Il Terazzo, Tomas Morato. Even from the outside, the wooden furniture and walls, as well as the oven full of chicken being roasted, seems to be inviting us to try the place out.
The place felt like being in a homestead right out of a movie.
Since it’s too early for dinner, we decided to order some of their breakfast dishes.
Pancake Stack (PhP 140): You can’t go wrong with three pieces of soft, fluffy pancakes with butter and maple syrup.
Country Sausage, Biscuits and Egg (PhP 165): A serving of Sausage, scrambled eggs and biscuits. It fills the tummy but it’s nothing spectacular.
Strawberry Banana French Toast (PhP 165): Ah.. our personal favorite. If the picture fails to invite you to try this out, let me describe this piece of heaven to you. Four slices of french toast powdered with confectioner’s sugar served with a generous serving of sliced bananas and strawberries with a dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkled with brown sugar and cinnamon powder.
Brewed Coffee (PhP 75): Of course, breakfast will not be complete without a cup of brewed coffee.
Overall, the place is a must try in Il Terazzo. The place is a comfortable venue where friends can relax and share stories. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The food is also good and affordable. We are definitely going back to try out their chicken and of course, get a serving of the Strawberry Banana French Toast for dessert. (Who said that it’s only good for breakfast?)
