Melbourne: Los Amates

Taking the number one spot on my list of the best nachos ever is Los Amates! Los Amates is located in the hipster (according to a travel guide) Fitzroy suburbs.

Their nachos are topped with the usual salsa roja, black beans, cheese, guacamole and sour cream, but what makes their nachos tastier than the rest is the corn chips. They’re not the like the other nachos served with chips that taste like toasted Doritos. Their corn chips gave us the impression that they were homemade.

We liked the nachos so much that we made sure to go back for a plate of nachos before flying back home. There’s nothing like a good conversation among friends over a large plate of excellent nachos and a jug of sangria.
