Craving for Mexican food during a cold rainy night, we stumbled upon La Taqueria Amiga Mia thanks to Google. A lot of reviews say that they serve good quality mexican dishes at very reasonable prices so we decided to give it a try.
La Taqueria Amiga Mia is located along the narrow Scout Castor street (one street parallel to Roces) between Tomas Morato and Scout Tuason. It really is a “hole in the wall” and is fairly easy to miss.
Nachos (Php 125): Nachos topped with your choice of meat, salsa, cheese sauce, and sour cream. It’s the usual nachos but what makes their nachos great are: the serving size (large size is good for 2-3 people) and the fact that they also placed toppings at the middle layer of the pile of nachos.
Papas Bravas (PhP 140): Baked potato wedges with ground beef and cheese. Tastes awesome, especially when you add some of Chef Gene’s hot sauce.
Tortilla (PhP 205 for 3 pcs): Basically tacos with your choice of meat. You can choose between soft tortilla, cruncy corn tortilla (regular taco shell) or a combination of the two.
Avocado Ice Cream: Best avocado ice cream ever! A must try.
We’re definitely going back to try out their burritos and quesadilla. Of course, we’re ordering avocado ice cream for dessert!
