Bacolod: Where to Eat

Where to eat in Bacolod? There are a lot of good restaurants in Bacolod and many more are opening every year. The five places below are restaurants we have to dine in every time we visit the City of Smiles.

Where to eat in Bacolod

Kuppa Roastery & Cafe – Bacolod

Kuppa THE coffee place in Bacolod. They also serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices. Aside from their fantastic coffee and tea, do try Matt’s Chocolate Cake, Kuppa’s version of choco lava cake, with a scoop of gelato on top. I promise that you won’t regret ordering this chocolaty treat!

Aida’s (Manukan Country)

There are plenty of restaurants that serve chicken inasal, but for me, the best chicken inasal in Bacolod can be found in Aida’s, Manukan Country. This is evidenced by the long waiting line outside every dinner time. It’s best to make a reservation first.

Bob’s baby back ribs and sate babe w/ sate rice are the main reasons why I keep coming back. Others come for the heavenly sansrival or the eat-all-you-can Mongolian bar. The bottom line is: if you’re tired of chicken and you want to stuff yourself with good food at cheap prices, Bob’s is the place to be.

Calea is one of the best places to eat dessert in Bacolod. In my opinion, they serve the best blueberry cheesecake in the Philippines. It’s so good that my family always requests this as their pasalubong. Just tell the server that you’re bringing it on the plane with you and they’ll box it up for you.

Eron’s Kansi House / Sharyn’s Cansi

Cansi/Kansi is the Ilonggo version of bulalo. I usually flip a coin mentally whenever it’s time to choose between Eron’s Kansi and Sharyn’s Cansi. Eron’s Kansi serves meatier cansi while Sharyn’s Cansi has more tendon. Anyway, at PhP 250 for a bowl that’s good for 2-3 people, both places serve really good value for money cansi.
