Kuala Lumpur: Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant, Menara

It is hard to ignore the 421-meter Kuala Lumpur Tower in the middle of KL even with the taller Petronas Towers nearby. Aside from offering a 360-degree view of Kuala Lumpur on its observation deck, it is also home to the Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant that offers diners a fantastic view of the city while enjoying the buffet.

The Buffet
The buffet offers a selection of local, Chinese, Indian and Western food. There are 3 buffet stations spread throughout the restaurant: Appetizer area, Main Course area, and the dessert bar.

Kuala Lumpur: Mamak

The Mamak (pronounced as mama) is Malaysia’s version of Singapore’s Hawker centers. They are usually comprised of stalls manned by families who have been cooking the same set of dishes for years. The food is cheap — a person can get a decent snack with drinks at only 3 MYR.

According to our host, Mamak’s are commonly found in neighborhoods outside KL, but if you go to the small streets behind the glamorous shopping malls or ask the uncles/aunties in the streets, you might be lucky enough to stumble upon a mamak.

After asking around, we were lucky enough to stumble upon a mama behind the glitzy Farenheit 88 shopping mall at the Bukit Bintang area.
